Who am I? You ask…
Jaeel Beato is a journalist, visual storyteller, and production professional who graduated from Emerson College last Spring with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism through the Honors Program.
Depth and authenticity are at the core of his work.
His previous internship at The Boston Globe as its inaugural Video Intern deepened Jaeel’s love for capturing emotion through visuals. During his time there, he captured live footage of the historical 2024 Celtics NBA Championship celebrations, produced an original short documentary, and contributed to “A Beautiful Resistance,” a series celebrating Black joy.
Since 2023, Jaeel has freelanced with several production teams, providing production assistant and production design support for commercials, branded content, and creative projects. His recent on-set experience includes work with brands such as Concepts Boston, Oakley, Adidas, New Balance, where he supported equipment setup, set preparation, and behind-the-scenes content.
When he isn’t on set, Jaeel enjoys traveling, podcasting, posting random TikTok’s, and playing tennis. Collaboration and making people feel connected fuel his passion for storytelling.
